How to delete your data

Budgetify runs entirely on your phone. It has no user accounts and no servers, and it does not request internet access — so the developer never receives or stores any of your data. There is nothing on our side to request the deletion of, and no waiting on us: you can erase everything Budgetify has stored, instantly and completely, from your own device. Here's how.

What data Budgetify stores (all on your device)

Budgetify keeps the following in its private, on-device storage only. None of it is ever uploaded or backed up automatically:

Bank transaction details parsed from SMS (amount, date, merchant/payee, account) and the relevant message text
Transactions you add manually
Tags & categories, budgets, and savings goals
Net-worth entries, splits & personal ledger, and recurring payments
Streaks, achievements & titles
App preferences (theme, language, scan frequency, app-lock and privacy settings)

Steps to delete your data

Choose whichever fits what you want to remove. Each option acts only on your device and needs no request to us.

Delete individual records inside the app Open Budgetify and remove any single transaction, tag, budget, goal, or other entry. This erases just those items from the on-device database.
Erase everything: clear the app's storage In Android, go to Settings → Apps → Budgetify → Storage & cache → Clear storage (older devices: Clear data). This permanently deletes the entire on-device database and resets the app.
Erase everything: uninstall Budgetify Uninstalling the app removes its on-device database completely. Long-press the app icon and choose Uninstall, or remove it from Settings → Apps.
Delete files you exported or backed up yourself Any Excel, CSV, PDF, text export, or encrypted backup you chose to save lives wherever you put it (for example Downloads or a cloud drive). Delete those files there to remove those copies.

What is deleted & what is kept

Deleted from your device: Clearing app storage or uninstalling permanently removes all of the data listed above — transactions, SMS-derived details, tags, budgets, goals, net-worth entries, splits, recurring payments, gamification data, and preferences.
Kept by the developer: Nothing. Budgetify has no servers and collects no personal data, so we hold no copy of your information — there is no server-side data to delete and no retention period on our side.
Retention: Your on-device data stays only as long as you keep it. It is removed the moment you delete it, clear the app's storage, or uninstall. Files you exported yourself remain under your control until you delete them.
